LSC-50P

TYPE : LIQUID-SOLID SEPARATION – POLYELECTROLYTE COAGULANT.

LSC-50P is a specialized polyamine based Polyelectrolyte/Coagulant for the use in clarification of raw water streams intended for potable use. It also finds application in process and effluent water streams. It is particularly effective in waters containing high levels of suspended solids as well as effective colour removal.

Specific Gravity at 25oC : Approx. 1.14-1.17 typical
    pH at 25oC – 20% solution m/m : 3.5-5.5 typical

LSC-50P is nominally dosed to the incoming raw water for potable purposes to be treated based on pre-conducted jar tests to determine the optimal dosage based on the available mixing energy on the plant, which is appropriately simulated in the laboratory. From experience dosages would vary between 0.5mg/l to 5mg/l with 1mg/l to 2mg/l being usual.

For waste water and effluent dosages may vary from 50-500mg/l depending upon the solids being removed. It is most effective at pH values between 8.0 and 9.5 prior to dosage so that final pH is at 7.0-8.0. Jar tests are recommended for optimisation if this product type has not been previously utilized. For waste/effluent water the LSC-50P will be followed with a FLOCCULANT – such as LSF-B35 or equivalent in liquid form.

LSC-50P can be stored for up to 24 months from the date of manufacture, in its original, sealed packaging, at room temperature in a dry area. This product can be safely stored in plastic type holding tanks designed to manage the specific gravity listed. LSC-50P must be protected from excessive heat and freezing. Protective clothing such as gloves and goggles should be worn when handling.
