LSC-6

TYPE : LIQUID-SOLID SEPARATION – COAGULANT

LSC-6 is a high basicity poly-aluminium chloride based coagulant for the use in clarification of raw water streams intended for potable use. It also finds application in process and effluent water streams. It is particularly effective in waters containing high levels of suspended solids.

Appearance : Clear Water White to Opaque Liquid
    pH 5% soln. at 25oC : 3.0– 5.0
    Specific Gravity at 25oC : 1.14-1.17

LSC-6 is nominally dosed to the incoming raw water to be treated based on pre-conducted jar tests to determine the optimal dosage based on the available mixing energy on the plant, which is appropriately simulated in the laboratory. From experience dosages would vary between 10mg/l to 30mg/l with 15mg/l to 20mg/l being usual. For waste water and effluent dosages may vary from 50-500mg/l depending upon the solids being removed. It is most effective at pH values between 8.0 and 9.5 prior to dosage so that final pH is at 7.0-8.0. Jar tests are recommended for optimization if this product type has not been previously utilized.

LSC-6 can be stored for up to 24 months from the date of manufacture, in its original, sealed packaging, at room temperature in a dry area. This product can be safely stored in plastic type holding tanks designed to manage the specific gravity listed. LSC-6 must be protected from excessive heat and freezing. Protective clothing such as gloves and goggles should be worn when handling.
