MBN-L15MJ-SUGAR is a multifunctional non-oxidizing biocide blend based on a specialized pentanedial to inhibit the proliferation of micro-organisms systems in Cane Sugar and Sugar Beet Mills including treatment at the diffuser, transport water pumps, weir box or diffuser feed water pump. MBN-L15MJ-SUGAR is compatible with hard waters with anionic additives and halogens. It is also effective in process cooling systems, process pipework and vessels.

The objective is to control bacterial counts at less than 103 Colony Forming Units – CFU per ml of process water. Dosage range will vary depending on whether dosage is continuous or slug-dosed to preserve a large volume of mixed juice. Bacterial contamination will determine the dosage levels required. Nominal continuous dosage may range between 2-10ppm where slug dosing to bulk storage would range from 50-250mg/l. Maximum acceptable dosage to comply with FDA certification – not to exceed 3000mg/l as product.
Bacterial Count Techniques using dip slides or similar should be implemented for adequate control.
MBN-L15MJ-SUGAR can be stored for up to 24 months from the date of manufacture, in its original, sealed packaging, at room temperature in a dry area.
Containers must be kept undercover and out of direct sunlight. This product can be safely stored in plastic type holding tanks designed to manage the specific gravity listed.
MBN-L15MJ-SUGAR must be protected from freezing. Protective clothing such as gloves and goggles should be worn when handling MBNL15MJ-SUGAR.
