TYPE – MICROBIOCIDE-OXIDIZING
MBO-PA is a multifunctional oxidizing biocide blend based on catalyzed peracetic acid used to inhibit the acute proliferation of slime forming micro-organisms inclusive of algae and fungi in process cooling systems, process pipework and vessels. It is usually added in conjunction with a suitable bio-dispersant with a high surfactant potential.

MBO-PA should be slug dosed at 10 to 25 mg/l into the system water based on volume and for the best results, the frequency should be based upon the Holding Time Index/Half-Life. However, it is best applied with a surfactant for acute biological contaminations. A test method is available for testing the product residual, however, it is recommended that aerobic and anaerobic bacterial tests be conducted on a weekly basis to determine product efficacy.
MBO-PA can be stored for up to 2 years from the date of manufacture, provided it is still in its sealed packaging, at room temperature in a dry area. Containers must be kept sealed and undercover and out of direct sunlight. Protective clothing such as gloves and goggles should be worn when handling.
