TYPE – Specialised High Performance Antiscalent for Evaporator and Process Waters such as Mining, Iron and Steel, Paper & Pulp, Sugar Processing and Critical Heat Exchange Operations.

MMA-S100-PIC is a specialized reacted polymer containing polymeric anti-scalents, sequesterants and dispersants. The product is designed to inhibit the precipitation of calcium, magnesium and iron salts in the form of carbonate, sulphate and oxalate compounds. It is also effective in the binding of other metallic salts such as aluminium, zinc, strontium and barium. Product appearance is as a tan-beige powder. The product is also available in liquid form (MMA-L70-PIC) liquid.

    MMA-S100-PIC is dosed as follows:

    Dosage required will vary according to the potential precipitative salts present and a
    detailed analysis of the process water is recommended.

    Depending upon water flow velocities and applicable cycles of concentration, dosages will
    vary from 3 mg/l to 20mg/l. MMA-S100-PIC is specifically utilized where total hardness can reach 800mg/l as CaCO3 or where calcium sulphate presence is at 2500mg/l as CaSO4.
    MMA-S100-PIC may be applied online as an descalent, but higher residuals will be required – estimate 100-200mg/l.

    There is a direct test method to determine product residual in these systems.

    MMA-S100-PIC can be stored for up to 24 months from the date of manufacture, in its original, sealed packaging, at room temperature in a dry area.
